Client: VIA Metropolitan Transit AuthorityIDCUS was selected by the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority as their General Planning Consultant (GPC) to provide Bus, Rail and Facilities Strategic Planning and Project Development Engineering associated with the implementation of the 2035 Long Range Comprehensive Transportation Plan (LRCTP). Projects included providing production support for multi-modal transportation related planning activities on a task ordered basis.
IDCUS was tasked with performing: Transit System Corridor Studies, alternative alignment and mode analysis, corridor planning, major investment studies, feasibility studies; and Regional Transit Planning, system planning, and facility planning. Additional tasks included: System Analysis Planning, Para transit service planning, public art programming, public involvement, and transit operations planning; Transit/Land Use Integration, station area planning/corridor planning, transit friendly design concepts, transit oriented/ supportive development, transit supportive adaptive reuse, and joint development; Engineering and Design, schematics and final PS&E engineering design, environmental analysis, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) document preparation, site plan development, and visual simulation; and Data Collection/Analysis, conceptual cost estimates, geographic information systems analysis, market/economic analysis, ridership projections, ridership surveys, traffic studies, transportation modeling, travel demand forecasts, and value capture analysis.
