IDCUS provided Construction Engineering & Inspection Oversight for this $6 million project to widen 5 miles of SH 36 through the City of Brazoria from 2-lanes open ditch to 4-lanes open ditch. Roadway improvements included roadway widening and overlay, intersection improvements, pedestrian facilities (sidewalks & ramps) culvert extensions, construction of detention pond, modification of traffic signals, and coordination with UP RR Company for roadway widening within their ROW. The project was locally let by Brazoria County and financed by Federal Funding administered by TxDOT.  IDCUS provided overall project management, construction inspection and project documentation. The project was finished within budget. IDCUS provided on-site construction inspection services for widening SH 36. Specifics of work included: subgrade and base widening, new ACP pavement, ACP overlay, culvert extension, water and sanitary sewer relocation, installation of traffic signals, and sidewalk and curb ramps.  IDCUS coordinated with private utility owners for pipeline adjustments, cable relocation and power pole relocations. IDCUS prepared daily inspection logs and monthly pay estimates. All documentation follows TxDOT & FHWA guidelines.
